Philip Seligmann is a management consultant who works mostly using the sociocratic method. In practicing this method, Seligmann feels indebted to Zen Buddhism. His daily work, which is coaching people and helping institutions with conflict resolution, shares common ground with an idea from Mahayana Buddhism: ‘Not a single creature can be free, as long as there remains even one creature that is unfree.’. He teaches at the University of Utrecht, School of the Arts.
