Rob Nairn used to be professor of Criminology at the University of Capetown. He loved teaching, but preferred to spend his time meditating. He quit and spent a year as a monk at a Tibetan Buddhist center in Scotland and is currently leader of the Kaguy school of Tibetan Buddhism in Africa.
