Michael McClureMichael McClure is a Beat poet from the very beginning. At the time he didn’t realize he was going to be the spokesperson for a generation along with Allen Ginsberg. You could say that they paved the road for the protest generation of the ‘60s. In his collection of poems ‘Touching The Edge’, in which McLure expresses his fascination for the indescribable and nature.

Machiko, newly-appointed caretaker to the home, also lost her child in an accident and lives her life with the sense of loss and sadness. Shigeki and Machiko, getting over the two opposite positions, care-receiver and care-taker, gradually come to understand each other as two persons in the same situation.
